anchored in the Ionian

Jinti’s literary imagination lies dormant after the success of her CBIS (cannot believe I’m sixty) party.

So all you get this month is a brief SITREP.

Things are going to plan !! A dangerous statement, we are gently meandering around the Ionian - entertaining and entertained. We have just circum- navigated Corfu with friends and without incident.

On the technical front I am pleased to report that the winter enhancements are working well, specifically:

The new cockpit table - in place before Jinti can finish “is the table up?”
The enlarged stabilizer sail - steadying us as I write. It also makes Selkie Dancer distinctive, I have yet to see another yacht in the Ionian with such an enhancement.
The solar panel - a small one (nominally 50 watts) but sufficient to double our electrical endurance at anchor. We need to install another.
LED lights - almost all the internal lights are now LEDs - a pleasant surprise after trying LEDs 5 years ago and concluding that they were a waste of time.
The mini inverter and electrical orange juicer running in unison to give us fresh juice for breakfast - one of life’s simple pleasures.
AND the aft deck swim shower - what a joy to rinse off the salt without tracking it through the boat!

Selkie Dancer’s “Delta” anchor at 4 metres depth - the shaft is painted to make it easier to spot and assess - in this case a good drop in sand. The little fishes add credibility.
