1.  Selkie Dancer, Campbeltown - 1st May

Hello everyone.  We sailed today as planned!  Technology has proved stronger than Andy and the blog has not been updated.  However website,  http://web.mac.com/selkiedanceris up, user name xxxxxx, password xxxxx  and shows our intended programme. Gannets, guillemots, a porpoise and a seal today.  The seal is always seen as a good omen for a selkie dancer.  Hoping some hardy bravehearts will join us along the way - the sun was shining today - honestly!!  On the other hand the wind was bloody cold!

See you soon, Jinti and Andy

2.  Selkie Dancer, Puilladobhrain (anchorage South of Oban) - 7th May

Hello everyone, just to let you know that we are on schedule even if we aren't sticking religiously to the 'itinerary'.  Something which brings endless pleasure to my father who points this out, plus spelling mistakes.  You can take the man out of the teacher but you can't take the teacher out of the man!  Yes Dad that's you!  We had serious doubts at the beginning of the week that we had indeed started too early.  We had two days literally pinned against the pontoon at Campbeltown by strong winds.  Then, just when we wanted it, the wind died and we ended up motoring the whole way around the Mull of Kintyre to Gigha.  There, the sun shone, we bicycled round the island, lunched on a beautiful beach, visited lovely rhododendron gardens and watched the BBC busying themselves searching for otters.  By now you will have realised that this is a 'fortunately -unfortunately' story.  Then the wind gods arose again and Andy battles with mounting seas to row us back to the boat.  It got too much and denied us a promised supper and most importantly a -  PUDDING!  in the local hotel.  The next day we motor-sailed here in glorious weather - we are developing tans, on face and hands anyway.

The coming week sees us entering the Caledonian Canal on Thursday, additional muscle welcome!

See you soon, Jint and Andy
